Consequence of New Salary Scale

نتيجة لإقرار سلسلة الرتب والرواتب والأعباء المالية الكبيرة التي نتجت عنها، فلقد تقرر إقفال القسم المتوسط من المدرسة الأكاديمية. أما القسم الأكاديمي الأساسي والمدرسة المهنية بكامل صفوفها، فتستمر كالمعتاد للعام الدراسي القادم.

نعتذر من أهالي طلاب الصفوف الإكاديمية السابع والثامن والتاسع بسبب عدم تمكننا من فتح هذه الصفوف للعام الدراسي القادم. ونُعلم أهالي طلاب القسم الداخلي لهذه الصفوف استعداد المدرسة استقبال ابنائهم وبناتهم في القسم الداخلي شرط تسجيلهم في المدارس الرسمية في كفريا. وستؤمّن مدرسة شنلر النقل اليومي لهم من وإلى المدرسة الرسمية.

تعتمد مدرسة شنلر على دعم الكنائس الألمانية بشكل أساس وشركاء آخرين لاستمرارها في خدمة الفقراء والمحتاجين. وإن دخل المدرسة من الأقساط المدرسية يشكّل فقط 14% من ميزانية المدرسة.

انطلاقا من معرفة مجلس إدارة مدرسة شنلر الأوضاع المالية الصعبة التي يواجها أهالي طلابنا، فلقد قرر فرض الزيادة في الأقساط المدرسية حصرًا على القطاعات التي حصلت عليها. أما القطاعات الأخرى فقررمجلس الإدارة منح أبنائها وبناتها منحًا مدرسية تغطي كامل هذه الزيادة. يتم تطبيق هذه المنح إلى حين إقرار الزيادة في الرواتب للقطاعات الأخرى، وعندها تطبق زيادة الأقساط على الجميع.

Upon the approval of the new salary scale, the board of Schneller School decided to close the Intermediate classes of the academic department. The school continues with the elementary classes and all the classes of the vocational school for the next academic year.

We apologize to parents of students in Grades 7, 8, and 9 of the academic department for this decision which was forced upon us. We hereby inform parents of boarding students of these classes that Schneller School will accept them in the boarding school provided their parents register them in the government school of Kifrayya. Schneller School will provide daily transportation to and from the government school.

Schneller School depends on the major financial support it receives from the German churches and other partners to continue its ministry to needy and disadvantaged children. Tuition fees only represent 14% of our income.

As the school board is fully aware of the extreme financial challenges that face parents of our students, it decided to apply the increase in tuition fees only to the sectors that received the latest increase in salaries. All other sectors will be granted scholarship to cover this increase in tuition fees. This scholarship will continue until other sectors of Lebanese society receive an increase in salaries. Upon that, the increase in tuition fees will apply to all day students.
