Founder's Day & Independence Day 2013

Schneller Founder's Day falls on the 11th of November and Lebanese Independence Day falls on the 22nd. Both occasions were celebrated with a wonderful program held in Hermann Schneller Hall on Thursday 21 November 2013 at 1:00 PM. Attending were JLSS teachers, trainers, educators, members of staff, students, and the president of the Parents' Committee Mrs. Leila Sati. Teachers and students worked hard to prepare this celebration, and the program was wonderful in every respect. It included parts in English, German, and colloquial Arabic. The dances were prepared by our sports' teacher Mr. Michael Karam. The songs with wonderful lyrics and music were written and composed for the occasion by our music teacher Mr. Joseph Sleilati. The sketches in German, English, and colloquial Arabic were prepared by the teachers of the respective subjects. All reflected hard work and good achievements by the students and their teachers. The only part missing was poetry or prose in classical Arabic, which we hope future celebrations will include. We thank all our teachers and students who prepared the program and participated in it. We especially thank the head of the Academic Department Mrs. Rita Shakrina, Mr. Joseph Sleilati, Mr. Michael Karam, Mr. Elie Farhat, and Mr. Hisham Maalouf. We congratulate the teachers for reaching such a good level with the students. The program was such a great joy to attend, and it was enjoyed by all present.
